The Connecticut Hospitality Educational Foundation (CHEF) is the non-profit 501(c)3, philanthropic arm of the Connecticut Restaurant Association (CRA). Its mission is to promote the health and prosperity of Connecticut’s hospitality industry through education, scholarships and financial assistance. CHEF works to attract, develop and retain a career-oriented professional workforce for the restaurant industry through education for future restaurant industry professionals, workforce development opportunities and scholarships.

CT ProStart Invitational Sponsor

Sponsor CHEF's flagship event of the year, the Connecticut ProStart Invitational! 
Culinary and restaurant management students from across the state compete for thousands of dollars in scholarship funds and a spot at the National ProStart Invitational in Washington, DC and the Regional ProStart Showcase in Rhode Island. 

Culinary students create their own unique 3-course meal that they will prepare with no running water or electricity and only 2 butane burners. Not sure it's possible? Check out some of the final dishes from last year! 

Restaurant Management students create their own restaurant concept, with everything from menu items, marketing tactics, SWOT analysis, organizational charts and more.

2023 ProStart Educator Training Sponsor - $500
ProStart Educators are the backbone of the CT ProStart Program. Teaching over 2,200 students the necessary culinary and restaurant management skills to bring skilled individuals to the hospitality workforce. Support their training by being a ProStart Educator Sponsor! Your business will be featured as a sponsor during the event and on our website as a CHEF and ProStart Sponsor for 2023.
