Cake Decorator - Riverhouse Hospitality - Creative Cakes By Donna
Seeking a creative, production-driven cake decorator with vast experience in various buttercream textures and fondant. Knowledge of palette knife sculpting, wafer paper, drip designs and on-trend wedding cakes a plus. Collaboration and follow-through are essential.
Primary Functions: Creating tiered wedding cakes and specialty cakes by executing the design standards of the Banquet Event Order by the weekly deadlines.
- Has a thorough knowledge of the cake industry.
- Tasked with making various flavors of cake fillings per the recipe.
- Ability to torte, fill and crumb coat cakes.
- Experience with stacking cakes, detail frosting work, adding embellishments.
- Some baking of cakes, cupcakes and cake samples per the recipe is required.
- Ensure cleanliness to the highest standards.
- Must be organized and task driven.
- ServSafe certified.
- Asset management and reporting of all maintenance needs to the Bakery manager.
- Working in conjunction with the Bakery Manager and co-workers on future orders and quality control.
- Attending weekly BEO meetings to discuss and collaborate on upcoming orders.
- Assist in conducting product inventory.
- Ensure quality control with all finished products leaving the bakery.
- Must be able to lift heavy items.
- Must be able to load and drive a catering vehicle when needed and make cake deliveries to various venues.
- Travel to venue tastings and bridal shows to represent the company.
- Adheres to attendance policy.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Must Be Able to Write on Cakes
- Must Be Able to Arrange Fresh Florals On Cakes.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
