Education of our members is key to CRA's commitment to the advancement of the hospitality industry. As part of that commitment, the CRA offers weekly ServSafe courses throughout the state. ServSafe certification satisfies the state regulation that every food service operation is required by the State of Connecticut to employ both a Qualified Food Operator and an Alternate.
ProStart
The CRA also promotes advancement of the industry through the support of the ProStart Program. ProStart is a two year culinary and management program for high school students

CT Hospitality Educational Foundation Scholarship
The Connecticut Hospitality Educational Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Connecticut Restaurant Association, will award scholarships this year to students pursuing a career in the Culinary Arts, Restaurant Management or an affiliated degree.
National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation Scholarships
The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation wants to put you on the path to achieving your dreams. The NRAEF offers a variety of merit-based scholarships to students who want an education and a career in the foodservice industry, starting at $2,500 scholarships.
Training and Certification The ServSafe Program has evolved to meet the most urgent food safety training challenges in our industry. ServSafe is a better way to learn, its engaging with greater comprehension and better application.
