Assistant Baker - The Frosted Sheep
Description: The Frosted Sheep Bake Shop, located in the Canton Village shops in Canton, CT is seeking an experienced and passionate baker to join our team. The Frosted Sheep Bake Shop is committed to providing its customers with exceptional baked goods made with premium ingredients and a focus on flavor. Responsibilities:
- Assist the owner in overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency.
- Assist the owner with inventory management and receiving, including proper rotation of ingredients and prepared doughs, along with waste minimization.
- Mix, prep, and bake menu items for retail, pre-order, and mail order sales.
- Decorate cupcakes.
- Assist with packaging and labeling of orders.
- Help develop seasonal/special menu offerings.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Assist with cleaning and organization of the kitchen. Along with other team members, will have accountability for dishwashing, and cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment.
- Partner with front-of-house staff on merchandising, and as needed, provide back-up retail support (cashiering and packaging of purchased products).

Qualifications:
- 2+ years of commercial baking and/or decorating experience; passionate about producing high quality baked goods.
- ServSafe Manager certification, or ability to take and pass the exam prior to start of employment (paid for by The Frosted Sheep Bake Shop).
- Highly collaborative; ability to work with a diverse team.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work Wednesday – Sunday, beginning at 6am.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
