Retail Team Associate - The Frosted Sheep
Description The Frosted Sheep Bake Shop, located in the Canton Village shops in Canton, CT is seeking a customer-focused Retail Team Associate to lead daily retail and support light kitchen operations. This role plays a key part in delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
- Retail
- Assist customers with product selection, order placement, and order pickup.
- Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Verify and distribute customer pre-orders to ensure accuracy.
- Address customer questions and resolve issues professionally.
- Maintain attractive, well-labeled, and properly priced display cases.
- Follow opening and closing cash-handling procedures.
- Keep retail areas clean and orderly, including counters, floors, and entrances.
- Ensure walkways are safe and clear during inclement weather.
- Monitor packaging inventory and alert owner to low inventory.
- Kitchen
- Assist with the packing and labeling of cookies and cupcakes in boxes for customer pickup.
- Assist with cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment.
- Other
- Assist owner with the creation of content for posting on social media and other marketing channels.
- Assist owner with managing and tracking online orders and ensure bakery has visibility into future orders.
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills. •
- Friendly, dependable, and able to work collaboratively with a diverse team. •
- Attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures. •
- Willingness to learn and operate a point-of-sale system. •
- Minimum age of 16 years (working papers required if under age 18). •
- Ability to take and pass the ServSafe Food Handler certification prior to the start of employment (paid for by The Frosted Sheep Bake Shop). •
- Ability to stand for long periods of time. •
- Ability to work Wednesday – Sunday. •
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
