The Nest Coffee House is a very special place where we provide employment and social opportunities for young adults with autism. We bake and cook nearly every item in the shop for sale. We make great use of our small kitchen equipped with a turbo oven, convection oven, blend tech blenders and all the gadgets needed to prepare our home made quiches, scones, egg sandwiches, cocoa bombs, choc covered pretzels, smoothies, cookies and more. We have a front of house manager and back of house manager and ideally the student would gain experience in both areas.
An ideal candidate would enjoy a small but fast paced place where we all ultimately chip in to get things done as needed. Every employee is cross trained in nearly every job. An interest and ability to contribute positively to our sensory friendly and safe/secure environment designed to ensure our young adults with autism or other disability are able to grow and learn in our space. We are not a highly busy shop but we are full of opportunity to learn and grow with some of the nicest folks you will ever meet.
