The Connecticut Hospitality Educational Foundation (CHEF) and the Connecticut Restaurant Association (CRA) hosted the 17th annual CT ProStart Invitational yesterday at Dunkin Park in Hartford. High school students from across the state gathered to compete and showcase their talents in CT's prime industry-related, culinary and restaurant management competition. Teams from Wilbur Cross High School (New Haven) placed first in both culinary and management categories. All who placed were awarded culinary scholarship funds, and the first-place teams will go on to compete in the National ProStart Invitational in Washington DC in May. Thank you to all judges, teachers, and volunteers who came out to show support and make this event a success. Way to go, Wilbur Cross High School and congratulations to all of the competing schools on a job well done!
