OVER 160 RESTAURANTS FROM MORE THAN 50 TOWNS WILL PARTICIPATE IN CT EATS WEEK PRESENTED BY THE CT RESTAURANT ASSOCIATION AND GONATION
CONNECTICUT’S ONLY STATEWIDE RESTAURANT WEEK BEGINS FEBRUARY 24 - MARCH 1
Farmington, CT - More than 160 restaurants from throughout the state have teamed up with the Connecticut Restaurant Association and GoNation to launch CT EATS WEEK. Restaurants across the state will offer an array of choices, which will include prix fixe menus, specials, discounts and more. The week-long promotion will run from Monday, February 24 through Sunday, March 1 and all menus and specials can be found online at www.cteatsweek.com.
All participating restaurants are supporting the Connecticut Hospitality Educational Foundation (CHEF), the CRA’s 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that is dedicated to the development of future restaurant industry leaders through educational scholarships and programs like ProStart®, a two-year culinary and management program for high school students.
“We are thrilled to have over 160 restaurants from throughout Connecticut participating in our first-ever CT EATS WEEK,” said CRA Executive Director Scott Dolch. “We’re hopeful this state-wide initiative will encourage patrons to explore new restaurants, while giving restaurants a chance to reach a new client base.”
In addition to the week-long restaurant specials, on Friday, February 28, the Connecticut ProStart® Invitational will be held at Gateway Community College, where high-school students from around the state will compete for scholarships and a chance to represent Connecticut at the 2020 National ProStart® Invitational in Washington, D.C. in early May.
