Legislative leaders and Governor Lamont discussed extending his emergency authority until February 9, 2021, which does not require approval of the full General Assembly. The emergency declaration has been in place since March of this year, approving a six-month declaration.

The executive orders contain rules on social distancing and how businesses such as restaurants and entertainment venues may operate while the pandemic still affects everyday life.
